"General Motors said it is reducing its electric-vehicle manufacturing capacity and booking a $1.6 billion charge on its EV business as demand sinks. "
I switched to driving EVs (Tesla) around six years ago, and it's so much better.
You get to charge at home for everyday driving. There are no toxic fumes. There are no unpleasant smells. You don't have to deal with dirty, greasy gas-station handles. There is zero maintenance required. There is fast charging everywhere I drive (true only with Tesla, so far). The vehicle is noiseless. Acceleration is crazy fast. Driving dynamics are insanely good.
If I can help it, I hope never again to have to drive a gas-powered vehicle.
I was trying to look at the current tax incentives in Norway that make this possible. It's currently a $17k tax break to buy a Model Y over an equivalent gas vehicle.
Meanwhile in some other country:

A glimpse of the future for all other countries.
